Welcome to my studio!

I offer private lessons for Double Bass for any age of student.

My philosophy as a music teacher is to nurture love for music first, and then to develop healthy and efficient practice habits through technique and critical thinking. My lessons tend to be light and casual, but I have very high musical standards. “Take your work seriously but not yourself.”

My students have played/are playing in the Oakland Symphony Youth Orchestra, Golden State Youth Orchestra, Young People’s Youth Symphony, and other local community and youth orchestras. My students have begun going to music college (Shenandoah University, Chicago
